Why is spring so dangerous for motorcyclists?

Motorcyclists have to be wary at all times. They know that they don’t have any protection from their vehicle itself, but just from their helmet and other gear that they wear. This means that they’re incredibly exposed and could be seriously injured in a crash.

But, while this is true all year round, it’s especially true that motorcyclists face dangers in the spring. This is the season where they have to be extra alert and know that drivers are going to make mistakes.

What makes the spring so dangerous?

There are a lot of things that make spring driving dangerous, starting with the fact that a lot of drivers have simply forgotten about motorcycles. They don’t own them, so they don’t think about how people are getting their bikes back out in the spring. These drivers are less likely to see motorcycles because they’re simply not looking for them. This leads to a lot of mistakes, such as merging into a lane where a motorcycle already is or pulling out in front of a motorcycle because the driver is just so used to looking for cars and trucks.

Additionally, there are a lot of road hazards that can crop up in the spring. There may be more potholes or debris on the road. Riding conditions simply aren’t ideal. It is exciting to get out at this time of year, but it does increase the odds of getting involved in an accident.

If you have been injured in a crash caused by a driver, then you need to know what options you have to seek financial compensation
