Highlights of 2023

  • $1,250,000 settlement: Case litigated in Prince William Circuit Court.  Injuries resulting in a spinal cord stimulator and several radiofrequency ablations.  Defendant was driving a commercial vehicle and initially blamed another vehicle for causing the accident.
  • $400,000 settlement: Case litigated in Culpeper Circuit Court.  Plaintiff suffered neck and shoulder injuries after being T-boned by a bus.  Insurance company contested causal relationship of surgery

Our History of Case Results

  • $6.0 Million verdict, Fauquier County Circuit Court – Wrongful Death case for a Motor Vehicle Accident.
  • $5.5 Million, Virginia -a fifty nine (59) year old woman was horrifically injured in a motor vehicle accident sustaining fractures of the mid back, cervical region, femur, and left knee. The client was left with permanent residuals with regard to her ability to walk.
  • $3.1 million total verdict in Prince William Circuit Court, husband and father of one was killed when his dump truck was struck by a locomotive due to a land owner negligently obstructing views of both the locomotive and our client.
  • $2.5 million dollar Settlement – Husband and father of two killed in motor vehicle accident. Case settled after suit was filed.
  • $1.5 million dollar Verdict – Alzheimer resident at assisted living facility sustained a fractured hip requiring surgery (Prince William.)
  • $1.2 million dollar Settlement – Sideswiped by tractor-trailer requiring two back surgeries (Prince William).
  • $1,000,000 settlement: Case litigated in Fauquier Circuit Court where defendant fell asleep and drifted into plaintiff’s lane of travel causing a significant accident.  Plaintiff underwent spine surgery and ultimately a spinal cord stimulator with a thoracic laminectomy.  Full policy limits offered after lawsuit filed.
  • $1,000,000 verdict – United States District Court Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division: $1,000,000 verdict on behalf of man who suffered severe orthopedic injuries to his leg that required multiple surgeries after being struck by a commercial vehicle.
  • $1,000,000 Settlement – Wrongful death case settled two weeks prior to trial. Plaintiff able to overcome a sudden medical emergency/seizure defense and prove that the defendant was suffering from alcohol withdrawal seizures which caused the accident (Loudoun County Circuit Court).
  • $1,000,000 Settlement – After filing suit in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Dump truck that was improperly maintained flipped over and struck plaintiff causing multiple significant injuries.
  • $900,000 Settlement with U.S. Government – Motor Vehicle Accident resulted in fractures and head trauma
  • $804,134.25 Verdict – Client injured in a motor vehicle accident, suffered a closed head trauma. (Fauquier County)
  • $780,000.00 Verdict – A case involving a client who was rear ended by a tractor trailer in St. Louis, MO requiring a cervical fusion with complications of hemorrhaging post-surgery. The case resolved pending litigation.
  • $750,000 Verdict by Court – Client had sustained numerous orthopedic and internal injuries.
  • $650,000 Settlement – Client fell on snow and ice down an outdoor stairway and sustained a low back injury requiring surgery.
  • $575,000 verdict, client injured in motor vehicle accident, had fracture of the tibia plateau, and would require a partial knee replacement 15 years down the road.
  • $550,000 settlement – case litigated in Prince William Circuit Court where the plaintiff required neck surgery and suffered from post-concussion syndrome after being rear-ended by a dump truck.
  • Wrongful Death- $500,000.00 policy limits obtained after law suit
  • $475,000 Settlement – Case litigated in Fauquier County Circuit Court as a result of a trip and fall in a parking lot due to improperly maintained pavement.
  • Wrongful Death- $450,000.00 Settlement for Infant Child Despite Coroner Saying Cause of Death was SIDS
  • $400,000 settlement – case litigated in Prince William Circuit Court that involved an aggravation of a pre-existing back problem requiring the installation of a pain pump.
  • $400,000 settlement – case litigated in Loudoun County Circuit Court involving a motorcyclist who suffered severe orthopedic injuries including a fractured pelvis after he was struck by a car.
  • $380,000 settlement: Plaintiff suffered severe orthopedic injuries in a motor vehicle accident.  Plaintiff was able to secure coverage under several underinsured motorist policies and obtain the full amount available.
  • $350,000 Verdict – 23 year old client sustained a herniated disc in her lower back and would need low back surgery in the future.
  • $320,000 Settlement – Motor Vehicle Accident involving substantial orthopedic injuries.
  • $300,000 settlement: Case litigated in Fairfax Circuit Court.  A motor vehicle accident caused persistent lower back pain.  Several doctor’s missed the cause of plaintiff’s lower back pain and plaintiff ultimately underwent an SI Joint fusion which resolved the pain.  Plaintiff obtained full policy limits available.
  • $300,000 settlement – Case litigated in Prince William Circuit Court where insurance company offered full policy limits after discovery showed defendant’s vision was compromised when he made a turn into a parking lot and struck plaintiff crossing an aisle in the parking lot.
  • $300,000 settlement – Plaintiff suffered an injury to her SI Joint which ultimately required an SI Joint fusion. Insurance company initially denied the injury or need for surgery was related to the motor vehicle accident, but ultimately paid their full policy limits.
  • $300,000 Settlement – Case litigated in Prince William County Circuit Court where insurance company reversed their liability denial where plaintiff suffered orthopedic and psychological injuries as a result of the accident
  • $300,000 Settlement – Insurance policy limits offered after case filed in Fauquier County Circuit Court.  Plaintiff suffered severe orthopedic injuries and was airlifted as a result.
  • $300,000 Settlement – Client was injured through the negligent discharge of a firearm. The homeowner’s insurance company denied the claim. The case was litigated in U.S. District Court and resolved for policy limits.
  • $300,000 Settlement – 15 year old boy sustained partial loss of vision resulting from a weight clip negligently flung in a weight room
  • $290,000 settlement: Case litigated in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Motor vehicle accident with a contested sideswipe with a tractor trailer resulting in fractured vertebrae and punctured lung.
  • $275,000 settlement – policy limits obtained after filing suit in Fauquier County Circuit Court after the plaintiff was knocked off a motorcycle and suffered severe orthopedic injuries.
  • $275,000 Settlement – Client suffered a mild traumatic brain injury in an auto accident. The insurance company offered $9,000 until right before trial when they increased the offer to $275,000.
  • $275,000.00 for Dog bite involving the facial mauling of young girl acquired after litigation.
  • $275,000 Settlement – Motor Vehicle Accident resulted in low back surgery with excellent recovery within six months post surgery
  • $265,000 Settlement – Client was rear-ended and received initial emergency room and physical therapy. After a 15 month gap in treatment, the plaintiff underwent an L4/5 fusion and made a great recovery. Case settled one month prior to trial.
  • $250,000 settlement: Wrongful death case litigated in Culpeper Circuit Court.  Liability was hotly contested, but a settlement was still reached through mediation after significant efforts to demonstrate liability on the defendant.
  • $240,000 settlement: Case litigated in Fairfax Circuit Court.  Plaintiff suffered neck injury as a result of motor vehicle accident resulting in a cervical spine surgery.  Insurance company initially disputed causation.
  • $240,000 Settlement – Motor Vehicle Accident case litigated in Fauquier Circuit Court for a mild traumatic brain injury case.  The insurance companies denied that the plaintiff suffered even a minor concussion up until settlement.
  • $235,000 Settlement – After filing suit, insurance carrier settled the claim for orthopedic injuries.
  • S230,000 settlement: Case litigated in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Insurance company contested that any injury occurred and blamed treatment on a prior injury. Insurance company significantly increased offer the night prior to trial.
  • $230,000 settlement in a dog bite case.  Plaintiff was out mowing his lawn when he was attacked by a neighbor’s dog and suffered a fractured wrist that required surgery.
  • $225,000 settlement: Case litigated in Prince William Circuit Court.  Plaintiff suffered lower back injuries in a motor vehicle accident and required a future lower back surgery.
  • $225,000 Settlement – Insurance carrier settlement after suit filed. Client had sustained a severe leg fracture.
  • $215,000 settlement in a motor vehicle accident case litigated in Prince William County Circuit Court.  Defendant fell asleep and caused a significant accident.  Plaintiff had undergone a neck surgery several years before.  This accident caused plaintiff to undergo a fusion at an adjacent level and a revision of the prior surgery.
  • $200,000 settlement: Case litigated in Alexandria Circuit Court.  Plaintiff suffered multiple rib fractures and pneumothorax as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  Plaintiff’s counsel was able to obtain video footage of the accident from a local business, which made clear defendant ran the red light.
  • $185,000 Settlement – Client fell down a stairway at a restaurant and fractured her hip. Restaurant was negligent for failing to have a rail.
  • $175,000 settlement – passenger on a motorcycle involved in a motor vehicle accident suffered a broken arm requiring surgery.
  • $175,000 Settlement – Medical Malpractice for failure to convey test results regarding infection.
  • $175,000 – client received a verdict after no offer by the defendant’s insurance company. The client sustained a back injury which resulted in low back surgery and with resolution of symptoms. The defendant made no offer as there was an eight month gap between the date of the accident and when severe symptoms first became evident. The case resolved through arbitration.
  • $160,000 Settlement – Motor Vehicle Accident case litigated in Warren County Circuit Court after the plaintiff’s vehicle struck a horse that had escaped the defendant’s farm and ran into plaintiff’s vehicle.
  • $150,000 Settlement – Orthopedic injuries from a motor vehicle accident.
  • $123,000 Verdict – Client sustained a fractured ankle as a result of a motor vehicle accident (Prince William).
