About Locklin & Coleman, PLLC
Our Story
Back in the 1980s, Kevin Locklin was working as an insurance defense lawyer at a prominent law firm in Fairfax, Virginia. One of Kevin's law partners routinely brought his boys to the office. The boys ran around the office and caused trouble. Fast forward several decades, and Kevin Locklin had moved to Fauquier County and was working in Manassas, where he switched to representing injured people and quickly became one of the prominent personal injury attorneys in Virginia. At the same time, one of the boys who used to run around Kevin's office had graduated from law school and was a rising star after several years in the insurance defense industry in Fairfax, Virginia. You guessed it, this attorney was Brian Coleman.
After a hard-fought case against each other, Kevin asked Brian if he ever thought about leaving the insurance side to help people instead of insurance companies. The initial answer was no, but after several months of thinking about it, the two reconnected. Brian appreciated how hard Kevin cared for and fought for his clients, and he decided that if he was going to make the change, it was going to be for a firm that focused on clients rather than just numbers. Brian ultimately took the jump and partnered with Kevin. Locklin & Coleman, PLLC was born on January 1, 2017, and Brian joined Kevin in fighting for the rights of those who have been injured or lost a loved one due to the negligence of others.
